The Hear Lab is a state of the art comprehensive otology and audiovestibular clinic established to bring in excellence in the field of Hearing and Vertigo.
Over the past few decades there have been significant advances in the technologies available for the hearing impaired, be it cochlear implants, hearing aids, bone anchored hearing aids and middle ear prosthesis and implants. We as a team are not only committed to bring the latest technology available globally, but more importantly we believe in individualizing treatment for each patient based on his/ her needs and expectation.
Driven by like – minded, well qualified, committed team of professionals comprising of a Vertigo ENT specialist, Paediatric audiologist, Adult audiologist, Audioverbal therapist (speech therapist catering to the hearing impaired) as well a Psychologist / Counsellor, we at The Hear Lab have a holistic approach to our patients.

Our Team:
Mrs. Vahishtai J Daboo is our Principal Auditory Verbal Therapist.
Mrs. Daboo is a Listening and Spoken Language Specialist Certified Auditory Verbal Therapist (LSLS Cert. AVT)from the Alexander Graham Bell Academy, U.S.A.; among the first five in India to have achieved this
certification.
She is a B.Sc., B.Ed.-(Hearing Impairment) and a Certified Auditory Verbal Therapist from the Ali Yavar Jung Institute for Speech & Hearing Disability-Divyangjan.
Vahishtai has over 25 years of experience in the field and has worked with a wide spectrum children and adults with hearing loss. She has been trained and mentored for Listening and Spoken Language by international
experts and has worked with and headed institutions for children with hearing loss.
Vahishtai serves on the board of the Alexander Graham Bell Academy, USA, as a committee member on the Listening and Spoken Language Certification Committee. She is an Executive Committee Member, Cochlear Group of India (CIGI).
Ms. Isha Dhondekar is our Fulltime Audiologist and Speech Language Pathologist.
Ms.Dhondekar is an MSc in Audiology, Bachelor’s in Audiology and speech language pathology.
She prides herself in performing best practices with a variety of audiological expertise including newborn hearing screening and pediatric audiology, diagnostic audiology and rehabilitation, auditory evoked potentials
and assessment and management of Central auditory processing disorders and tinnitus.
Her goal is to empower patients to be independent and hear their best.
Dr. Pushkar Kasat
Visiting Consultant - Vertigo and Balance specialist

Dr. Kasat is a postgraduate in ENT after which he decided to enter the niche superspecialty field of Neuro Otology to deal with Vertigo and Balance Disorders.
He has trained extensively under Dr. Anirban Biswas ( a pioneer in this field in entire South East Asia). He has also completed an International Vestibular Diploma ( AVISA) as well as a Fellowship in Neurotology ( IAOHNS)
He specialises in dealing with different types of Vertigo and Balance problems Viz. Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo ( BPPV), Vestibular Migrane , Meniere’s disease, Vetibular Paroxysmia, Functional Dizziness, etc.
He is Passionate about treating Senior Citizens and helps preventing Falls in them especially due to balance problems. He has practiced at several prominent medical institutions across Mumbai. Very active academically, he has presented many acclaimed papers in National & International Forums. He can perform most of the advanced vestibulometric tests to evaluate balance disorders.
Hearing and vertigo care being largely collaborative, we also have a dedicated Centre Manager whose compassion and contagious joie de vivre helps in handholding our hearing impaired children and adults from diagnosis, intervention and rehabilitation so that they can communicate well and are able to contribute positively to society.
We are conveniently located at Lokhandwala Circle, Versova, Andheri West easily accessible via metro line ( Swami Samarth Nagar Metro station, Versova Metro station, DN Nagar Metro station)
From diagnosis and management of hearing (auditory) to balance (vestibular) disorders, to rehabilitation and therapy, we offer a full range of specialized hearing health solutions.
Our centre is dedicated towards providing all services related to hearing, spoken language and vertigo under a single roof in a comfortable and congenial atmosphere to enable the child as well as adult and senior citizens to feel at home while undergoing tests or therapy.
We perform all tests in a sound-treated room to ensure accuracy of results along with state-of-the-art equipment including:
i. OAE (Maico ERO.SCAN screening function with automated evaluation; ideal solution for screening newborns, infants, pre-school and nursery children),
ii. BERA (Interacoustics eclipse EP25 which has the largest number of clinically relevant features of any AEP device),
iii. Audiometry (AudiolabPlus, a True Hybrid Audiometer which is technologically advanced alongwith special audiometric tests like ABLB, SISI, Tone Decay Test, Speech Audiometry),
iv. Impedance Audiometry (Maico MI24 which offers ear testing for all age groups, new-born to old age).
v. Nystagmography (Balance Eye; Cyclops).
We perform our therapy sessions in a noiseless, child-friendly room with an adequate sitting area for the parent / guardian to enhance therapy outcomes.
